CUSTOM CERAMICS

Bespoke ceramic collections and colour customisation for brands

We develop hand-painted ceramic pieces based on a colour palette, a textile, a moodboard, an existing collection or a specific visual concept.

When required, we can validate the result with a physical sample on the actual piece before moving into production.

WHO IT’S FOR

We adapt pieces, colours and details to suit each project.

Every bespoke project starts from a different point. Some brands want to adapt an existing collection, while others need to develop a piece linked to a specific colour palette, table linen, season or visual identity.

Colour

Colour matching and customisation based on palettes, textiles, table linens, moodboards or visual references.

Decoration

Adaptations of existing workshop designs or the development of specific motifs when the project allows.

Format

Selection of plates, bowls, jugs, trays, candle holders, vases and other decorative ceramic pieces.

Collection

Creation of a cohesive capsule collection for a brand, shop, table setting or professional project.

Finish

Review of the piece’s visual presence, gloss, contrast, texture and overall final appearance.

COLOUR CUSTOMISATION

Colour matching for textiles, table linens and tableware collections.

FEATURED SERVICE

Colour is one of the most important elements of our work.

Many brands need their ceramics to coordinate with table linens, fabrics, a seasonal collection or an established colour palette. We can work from colour references, images, textiles, moodboards or physical samples.
Colour behaves differently on clay, glaze and after firing than it does on paper or fabric. For this reason, when the project requires it, we recommend working with a physical sample on the actual piece.

COLLABORATION PROCESS

How we develop a bespoke project

01

Initial consultation

You tell us about the brand, how the pieces will be used, the desired style, the target date and the approximate quantities required.

02

Visual references

We review colours, textiles, moodboards, existing collections or reference images.

03

Piece selection

We define which formats may work best: plates, bowls, jugs, trays, candle holders, vases or other pieces.

04

Colour or decorative proposal

We develop a colour direction, motif or finish that suits the project.

05

Physical sample

Where appropriate, we produce a sample on the actual piece to validate the result.

06

Adjustments

We review the colour, contrast, finish and overall appearance of the piece.

07

Production

Once the project has been approved, we produce the pieces in small batches while maintaining our handcrafted approach.

PHYSICAL SAMPLE

A physical sample for confident decision-making

A photograph can be inspiring, but it does not always allow you to fully assess the final result of a ceramic piece

For bespoke projects, we can prepare a physical sample so the client can assess the colour, decoration, gloss, weight, finish and overall presence before moving on to larger-scale production.

This approach helps reduce uncertainty and allows decisions to be made with greater confidence.

AUTHORSHIP AND BOUNDARIES

Collaboration, authorship and respect for every project

We work on the basis of trust. When a brand shares an idea, a colour palette or its own reference material, we treat that material with respect and do not turn it into a generic collection for other clients.

At the same time, each piece retains J. Marín’s handcrafted authorship as a guarantee of origin, craftsmanship and manual production.

We do not operate as a fully white-label manufacturer. The J. Marín name and identity form part of the value of each piece.

Would you like to develop a ceramic collection for your brand or project?

Tell us what you have in mind: the product, colours, approximate quantities, timeline and visual references. We’ll review whether it fits our way of working and guide you on the next step.
